Upcoming Project.........

When you visit a new town, do you gravitate towards fabric stores??? Well it happened to me when I recently visited Prescott AZ.  It must have been the clean air I was breathing up in those mountains filled with pines that inspired me to purchase fabrics!!!!!

Fabric: Seams Sew Right Quilt Studio. Prescott, AZ.
Sketch: The future of this fabric, JSSP.

I immediately gravitated towards this black and red stripped cotton fabric with a bit of a stretch and the news paper print fabric!!!!  I will be daring enough to combine fabrics with prints. Fingers crossed. Now, the most important question: what shoes should I wear?

Here it is!!!! I finally got around to finishing my dress, and I'm glad to say that I wore it to an amazing violinist Lindsey Sterling's concert!!!!!

Attempting to twirl :)

I think I found my love for tulle and full circles!!!!!

1950's dress

I recently participated in a retro dress sewing contest hosted by Gertie's Blog For Better Sewing. She introduced her fabric collection, and offered it as a gran giveaway (along with her published sewing books and patterns).
Even though I didn't take the prize, I was very pleased with my dress and enjoyed the fabrication process. I used the Patterns by Gertie B6094 View B.

This floral cotton fabric was a gift from my friend Kimmy, and the dress is fully lined!!!!
